I originally bought the Gent XL for my edc and it's a superb knife though the clip is a little weak. I saw this for almost ½ the price of the gent, now, and grabbed it.
Razor sharp, needle tip, perfect symmetry little saber. Handle is ½ G-10 and the other ½ is aluminum. The clip is so strong I had to pull on it just to be able to use it. Once you loose the T8 a little, oil it, cinch it back up and flip it a few times, perfection. This is how edc's are made. Those 3-5 hundred dollar ones are cute but a waste as well.
Boker knives are a grade above most right out of the gate. This D2 Saber is just that. A kick ass knife, right out of the box, and at an insanely awesome price! I cannot believe these aren’t sold out. I’m probably going to buy another just to give as an executive gift or something. Thanks for the rapid shipping and super service, CountyComm! And Congratulations on such a bitchin’ collaboration with Boker on these LE D2 Sabers!
Big Cheers from New Hampshire!
I primarily ordered this knife based on the Boker name and the quality that it represents. Needless to say, I wasn't disappointed. The knife is very well constructed, operates flawlessly, and it silly sharp straight from the box. It's got a good feel and the flipper opener works great with a little practice (this is my first flipper knife). My only issues with this knife is the pocket clip. It can only be mounted in one position and it's not a deep carry clip so the knife rides a little high. Also, using the thumb stud to open the blade takes a bit of practice... The flipper is definitely the easier way to open the blade. Those minor issues aside, I really like this knife and have already added it to my EDC rotation.
The Quick Flip action is incredibly smooth - and rock solid in the open position. I accidentally left it immersed in water overnight; the corrosion-resistant coating on the blade really works. This is the first knife I've liked better than my 40-year-old Puma. Well worth twice the price Count Comm is asking
