Really like the details in this watch. Just enough details and aesthetics to make the watch interesting without over doing it style wise. The orange painted details on the hand and dial stands out nicely and the C3 lume added to the ceramic bezel really looks good at night. I’m glad I didn’t pass on this watch. It’s become one of the favorites in my collection.
The SR-35 is a great watch. It has a clean dial. The domed crystal and ceramic bezel gives it a high end look. The best part is that the watch keeps good time, and for a great price. You can't find a better watch for the cost. Thanks CC.
Beautifully made watch. Great value. The band is too insubstantial for the watch, but a band change is simple. Great service as usual from CountyComm.
Man, I thought abou5 getting a Seiko SRP777 for a while. The lume I keep hearing is awesome and timekeeping is very good for the price and all. This watch has met my expectations so far. It really has what I was looking for. I can say it’s almost as nice as my Tag, if not even better.
I’ve had my SR-35 for 2 weeks now and love it! It’s running well within specs and it is a tank of a watch. The Seiko movement I’m sure will last for many years and the watch itself is beautifully made. Love the ceramic bezel...great touch on a watch at this price point. It will be my knock around as I own 4 vintage Seiko’s that need much more attention so as not to destroy them! Great job guys!! And keep up the great work!
I like this watch. The movement is accurate. More accurate than my other Martac watches with the Swiss movements, surprise! The only things I'd change is numerals instead of hash marks and maybe a bit thinner. Mine snags easily when I'm working. Over all its an excellent watch for the price.
I had been stalking the CC site for many months browsing and not pulling the trigger. The Facebook ad for this watch popped up and I could not resist so I bought it. I am a watch snob who enjoys his TAG and Seamaster. I am blown away by the quality of this piece. I love this watch. I have spent the last two weeks answering questions from clients and friends after they notice it. Dozens of compliments and all have asked where they can get one. Hoping that CC may release a large version of this design as that will be a quick purchase for me as well. Since I purchased this watch I have purchased several bands and extra pins. All products are top quality and the shipping is very fast. Thank you CountyComm!
I have a Rolex, Brietling and many other watches and this has become one of my favorites.
SR-35 Diver Automatic Watch by Maratac™
Simply one of the best looking diver watches around in the market right now. It is sleek and the bezel + dial combination is an eye candy combination! The lume is good! This watch spent 3 nights over at my local post office. It was a torture waiting but once I received it, I knew it was well worth the wait! I would also like to thank Mike for his helpful and professional assistance!
I've bought almost every watch released by Maratac and regret the ones I missed. Quality and function are top notch. Looking forward to their next release.
Speedy delivery and what an awesome piece. Thanks for the taco as well!
High Quality watch. Fast and smooth transaction. One of my favorite online stores. Thanks you opening shipping to Canada!
Purchased as an outdoor, working-in-the-yard watch, where my less robust 'dress watch' would be at risk. Digging holes and picking rocks can be hazardous for a watch! But the SR-35 fits the bill: rugged, simple to read, and reliable. Even the ballistic nylon strap is bueno. Heck, it's probably good enough to step in as my dress watch! Good value for this watch...and I'm a watch snob!
The SR-35 Diver Automatic Watch is a precision instrument, built battleship tough by Maratac, medium looking on my large wrist. The strap was too short for me so I opted for the Zulu four buckle strap and that did the trick. It is a steal for the price... they will sell fast, as all Maratac watches do!
Rare that I give anything five stars, but this watch deserves it. Always enjoyed wearing different watches, generally tool watches, never really got into spending a boat load on anything really nice (G-Shocks and Seikos mostly). The sterile looks, the sleek finish and the overall design of the SR-35 drove me to not even think twice about the $300 entry fee. I can honestly report that you end up getting a lot more watch for the money than you will most anywhere else. The size is perfect, 40mm is a sweet spot for my wrist, the weight is great and lets you know you have a tool on your wrist without being cumbersome and the ability to swap out 20mm bands at will provides endless opportunity for getting it looking and feeling just right.
Build quality is phenomenal, the metal is finished excellently with no rough or jagged spots/edges, the ceramic insert is great looking and is mounted solidly and the sapphire dome is astounding. It was ticking when I took it out of the taco case and put it on my wrist and I have not had to wind or spin it once. It's become a daily wear for me but has kept great movement with up to 36 hours off-wrist to date. I was expecting a +/- 10 second watch given the movement, but have been pleasantly surprised by the fact that having only set it once it is currently sitting at -3sec after almost 2 weeks of use. Maratac has gained a new customer for the foreseeable future, my only disappointment is that it took me this long to find out who they are and what they produce.
This watch is a great value, with a host of features found on much higher priced timepieces! It looks sporty and wears well with its curved lugs, drilled through for easy strap changes, as any tool watch should have. The ceramic bezel insert is a terrific feature, glossy and durable, with lumed markings. The bezel is unidirectional and has little to no play, turning crisply and aligning properly. The face is clean, with a cool trident logo, but its symmetry is also a short coming, as it lacks any unique markings for the 12 o'clock position. The orange accents match the orange, lumed second hand, which i find very sporty. The rehaut is indexed for the minutes (matching the bezel), and the hands are well lumed. The length of the hands is spot on, although being black, the pointed tips are hard to discern against the black face.
The crystal is domed, and offers a bit of pleasing distortion at extreme angles - while also minimizing reflections inherrent in flat crystsals. The moniker of diver may be a bit of an overstatement considering it is only rated for 10ATM (100m), and i see no indication of ISO 6245 diver's watch certification (100 m minimum, but most divers are 200m watches minimum).
Over all a well built, great looking watch for a great pricee that I will enjoy as I do my other Maratac watches!
I would say that I am a watch aficionado, or sort of... I received my SR-35 Diver yesterday. This watch compares very favorably to some of my other watches that cost a great deal more. Fine casework, really great dial design, lots of attention to detail by the manufacturer for sure. Oh, and the C-3 Luminova lasts ALL NIGHT!
In the first 24 hours I've had it, it is running 4 seconds fast. which is within COSC standards! Rotor is quiet too.
The only complaint, and it isn't a big one, is that the case is a little thick.
I'm thinking of throwing on an oyster style stainless steel bracelet.
Anyway, 5-stars from me and if I could I would give it 5+.
I bought the watch because of its plain tool watch look. I am impressed by the quality finish, the excellent ceramic bezel and the excellent movement accuracy.
The movement is the Japan made version of the NH35. There are 2 O-rings between the case back
and the case. I think that this will offer excellent protection against water since the crown is a screw-down type.
The watch accuracy after the first day is 2.9 seconds/day (face up) and 0.6 seconds/day (face down)
Time will tell how tough the ceramic bezel is. I assume that CountyComm will offer replacement bezels if need be.
The strap is just a sad looking little thing.
But: When I look at what value I received for the money I paid then that is absolutely not a problem.
It would be interesting to know where the individual components are made (Case, crown face etc)
I hope that there will be more Maratac watches released in the future. They are niche products but well worth the money.
Received today with C.C.'s faster than lightening shipping.
Really digg'in it, unique styling, killer lume on everything including the ceramic bezel.
Superb tolerances, especially the crown and bezel.
GPT-1 + a mid size Pilot and now the addition of an SR-35.
Maratac's timepieces are built like tanks.
I've only been wearing this about two hours, but love it so far. It may be just a bit taller than what I'm used to, but it's still quite comfortable.
I'll the accuracy over a day or two to see how well it keeps time-- but whether it's as accurate as quartz or not, the real value is in the automatic movement, made with mechanical precision and skill.
The bezel is amazing, not just for being ceramic, but also being luminescent. The dial is quite easy to read, and the luminescent dial is nice and bright (tested it in a darkened room shortly after opening the package).
Definitely has become my favorite watch as I've received multiple compliments and questions about the model and where to purchase. The ceramic bezel makes the watch stand out and the size and weight are perfect for my wrist.
As a female wearing this watch, I love the size and look! Not to mention the quality! Happy to be part of the 250. Thanks CountyComm.
This watch is gorgeous and very substantial. Mine is running well within spec for the movement, gaining just about 8s per day. The lumed ceramic bezel and the dial are very easy to read in any light. I’m wearing the watch on a Maratac NATO style strap. The original strap is too short for my 8.25 inch wrist.
Beautiful watch and so far it keeps excellent time. It's my first Maratac and unfortunately for me, now I want more of them.
Classic looking time piece
I own a Rolex GMT-II and a Panerai 441 and I have to say that the Pics of this watch excited me, but when I held it in my hand upon arrival I was even more thrilled! Quality of build is just phenomenal and a ceramic bezel on top of that.....Kudos CountyComm! I plan on getting another! Some may complain about the movement, but it will last as long or maybe longer than the Swiss ETA Blanks. If mine ever dies I will just put a Branded Seiko movement in it. The current movement is Seiko, just unbranded. U can’t find a finer watch at $300
Arrived in good order, well packaged. A solid watch given the mid-size range. Accurate for the couple weeks I've been wearing it. Good reserve noted. Easy on the fingertips to wind and set. The band appears durable although I will switch it out for something that does not rely on the pins alone to secure it.
I was fortunate to be glancing at my e-mail when this watch was announced, and I thought it sounded like a great value based solely on the website info and video. Now that I've received it and enjoyed it for a few days, I can confirm that it does not disappoint when seen in person. I have an 8.2 inch wrist so the strap is a throw away for me, but this watch works wonderfully on a Maratac NATO style strap. The watch rides a bit high (being over 13mm thick) and feels like a hefty chunk of steel (especially if you are used to wearing lighter or less substantial watches), but it wears comfortably and is beautiful to behold in any light. The lumed ceramic bezel is an amazing feature, especially at this price. My example is running about 8 seconds fast per day (well within spec for the movm't), so I'm entirely satisfied. Well done, Gentlemen!
I woke up early for work on the Saturday that I got the email that the SR-35 was available. Opened the email at work and read through the specs and saw that only 250 were being produced. Needless to say, I'm glad I jumped on the purchase when I did as I went onto the site later that evening and saw that the first 100 were sold out. With that being said, it's been on my wrist now for the last four days. The build quality is superb. The lume lasts for hours and the case size is spot on. I picked up a stainless steel "super engineer" style bracelet for it and man did it complete the look. I'll actually be downsizing my watch collection and not only will my Maratac mid pilot be staying, but the SR-35 will be staying as well. Another solid design from you guys!
I managed to purchase this watch our of sheer luck, since it appeared to be sold out, but one was left. It's just beautiful, and looks and feels great on my wrist. It is a bit thick, but it turns out not to be an issue for me. The 40mm size is perfect, and it's keeping excellent time so far. I didn't expect to buy another Maratac, but I can easily say it was a great purchase. The build quality is immediately apparent, and the loom is excellent. The SR-35 is going to get a lot of wrist time.
Looks like a Rolex with Simple lines for time and bejeweled by Sapphire crystal. I like the lumiinova. No need to punch s button to check time, It’s allready luminance..
First Maratac automatic I've owned. I have been considering buying some of the other models but get sold out quickly so when I saw this one being offered via email as a first run with a relative bargain price I thought I should just go ahead and take a chance. I don't have large wrists and the SR 25 does not look oversized on my hand. It appears to be extremely high quality...probably more quality than the price suggests but I am assuming that's because it's first run. I honestly like it better than most of the other models.
I have seen other dive timepieces over the past 40 years but haven't seen a timepiece that's robust, stunning, well designed and made for smaller hands as the Maratac SR25. I just gaze upon it and am dumbfounded by it's stealthy, subtle appearance. I can say without reservation that anything from Maratac is great.
