All Stainless Peanut Lighters™ are made exclusively For CountyComm
Made In USA
Constructed of 300 Series Stainless Steel with a overall height with out the split ring is 1.3" and it's diameter is .5". Like it's big brother the "Peanut Lighter", the Split Pea is sure to become very popular due to their ability to be carried in your pants pocket or stored with your camping equipment for a long period of time without the fluid drying out. These lighters use standard liquid lighter fluid that you will need to add on your own.
After the outstanding response we received with the Standard Peanut Lighter our staff members wondered what could be done to make it better.
Here's what we came up with to improve it:
After numerous responses and requests with the Standard Peanut and Split Pea Lighters our staff members wondered what could be done to make it better. The answer is make it bigger and also increase the size of the spark wheel for even easier use with and without gloves. These two changes make a dramatic difference in extended runtime and versatility of use in any condition. The XL Peanut Lighter is also a perfect for extended trips where you will need more than a few days of firestarting.
Here's what we came up with to improve it:
It is small yet useful emergency lighter, great to keep in your pack or on your keys. Wouldn't use as my primary lighter because of the screwing and unscrewing, but that is also why I'm comfortable keeping on my keys. I'm not worried about it coming loose and losing the bottom section of the lighter.
The stainless steel peanut lighter is very well made and a stout little lighter. I live in a dry climate that sucks Zippo lighters dry in a couple of days. The peanut has been riding in my pocket for over 2 weeks on one filling. I’ve been testing it every day by lighting it at least once a day for 10-30 seconds. It’s lit the first time every time and is still going strong. Get one, you won’t regret it.
It seems great, but the local shops are sold out of naphtha fuel so i haven't lit it yet. Five stars for design though, I even ordered an XL for the car kit.
This is my 2nd
I liked my first until i lost it. I tried some other brands offerings. This one has a more durable insert none of them lasted near as long as this, so i bought it again.
Just wanted to write a quick review of the Maratac Steel Lighters. I have to say, the design of this lighter is amazing! I love the fact that the unit has an o-ring to completely seal the lighter fluid in and not let it evaporate or leak. I bought several different sizes and would recommend them to any survivalist, prepper, or anyone wanting a reliable way of starting a fire. Note that the smallest one is smaller than it looks from the picture but totally works and is great for small fire kits.
