Purchased three of these boxes. Each one has a unique design. I put a 8" flat web strap through the one I carry and thread my belt through the loop to prevent loss. The length allows it to sit comfortably in my pocket and long enough to remove and open it. When you get them, the lids are fairly tight. You do not have to worry about the lids opening and losing the contents. Some tricks to open it, especially when it is new, is to grab the box horizontally and use both thumbs to slide it open. You may have to wet your thumb pads to increase friction. If that doesn't work at first, I used a wide rubberband and put it between my thumbpad and the box lid to slide it open. I keep strike anywhere matches and also the sparkwheel with extra flints in the box. This is a very durable box that can easily become a keepsake to be passed on to your children.
