Home Run with County Comm’s Tiny Striker
The first wrap with silicone self-fusing tape may be good enough to satisfy some. Even a little bit of tape makes for a more confident grip. But there’s no need to stop there.

Cut a short length of galacticly famous reflective cordage, and burn it at both ends. Trap it between the layer of tape already applied and a second layer that also serves to add diameter to the striker.

Choose a length of cordage that’s just right, you will be able to “wear" the striker as one would a ring. The idea is to get it positioned perfectly, just where it needs to be. By cutting the 1-inch-wide silicone self-fusing tape the long way, into strips narrower than one 1 inch, one can wrap the striker to different diameters, to achieve a bulbous shape. As a result, when you wrap your pointer finger around it at the narrower end, there’s a feeling that your “squirting” the striker away from your hand, in opposition of the tension being provided by the cordage. This makes for a very confident, steady grip.

Below you see the striker firmly grasped by the encircling pointer finger, nicely distanced from the user's flesh. You are ready to strike, just like an international (wo)man of mystery).
